When
After the main part of the Snapper season in the bay has finished we move the boat to Stoney Point from late December until late March each year. During this time the fish in this region are feeding well and the fishing is plentiful. We run 2 charters daily, 7 days a week during the season so it doesn’t matter whether you’re a morning or night person.
Where
The Westernport fishing region is home to some of the best fishing in Victoria due to its diversity and natural variation. A lot of fishing shows on TV film episodes here because the fish are abundant the number of fish species that call this area home are numerous. A bit further out is the famous Phillip Island but we generally stick closer to the shore. If you’re feeling more adventurous, our specialist shark charters venture further out into the Bass Strait in search of bigger game fish.

Charters leave from the boat ramp near 1D Stony Point Road, Crib Point, Victoria (Mornington Peninsula). The map on this page will give you a good idea of where we meet.

Unlike some other charter companies, we only operate when the conditions are just right for catching fish. In fact we don’t operate during the whole winter season.
We like to be professional but also crack a joke to two to make sure you have a good time on the water.
Fish Targeted
This region has a huge variety of fish. We mainly target Gummy Shark otherwise known as ‘Flake’. This shark is a toothless shark, is great fighting and great eating. You will notice that flake is available at most fish and chip shops.
Added to this we typically also catch Whiting, Pinkies (small snapper), Flathead, Squid and more. This charter is very popular due to the scenic location, variety of fish and close location to the boat ramp.
How Long
Each charter is a half day charter of approximately 5 hours and we run these twice daily. The times of departure vary depending on the tides. Contact us for an accurate idea of when this would be.
What to Bring
The boat, rods, reels and bait/burley are supplied. You need to bring the following.
Drinks, food, appropriate clothing (always bring a jacket), personal esky (for your fish), fishing licence.
